These delicious barbecue bacon meatballs are super easy and so tasty. The bacon adds a nice smokiness to these classic meatballs.
Start off with some nice crusty, staler the better, bread. Or you can substitute regular bread crumbs. I love makin’ em.
Then cube it up roughly.
Now you are going to soak it in milk. Milk you say? Yep, milk. This will keep the meatballs moist and adds some good flavor.
Add in worcestershire sauce.
and some agave nectar.
Let it sit for about five minutes and then throw it in the food processor and blend into a nice fine crumble.
Now get those onions chopped.
Get that butter heatin’ in yer iron skillet.
And join them together.
Fry up a few slices of bacon.
Chop it up!
Combine the onions, bacon, and soaked bread crumbs with nutmeg, ginger, eggs, panko, ground pork, and salt and pepper.
I used a little cookie scoop to mix up nice even balls. But you can also just use your hands. It’s all good.
Then you can either fry them up in a pan or bake them off in the oven.
Stir together BBQ with a little ketchup, worcestershire, and some brown sugar.
Toss with the meatballs and you are ready to dig in!
