Ever wondered what you could give to someone who needs a meal that is not a casserole? I used to wonder that too, until I discovered the genius of a taco box. Who doesn’t like tacos? How easy are they to make? I mean you practically just have to buy most of the ingredients already prepared and then you just throw them in a box!
Whether you have a friend who just had a baby, or know someone who was recently in the hospital, a taco box will help make their load a little lighter.
Start by making some ground beef and some rice! I made these homemade tortillas too, but you can always just buy some.
Package them up in containers that the recipient won’t need to return to you! Making both of your lives easier. When someone is going through a tough time, the last thing they should need to worry about is returning a casserole dish.
Then just load up a box (I didn’t have any so, I had to make do with my favorite farmer’s market basket) with all of the accouterment needed for a taco night…sour cream, salsa, chips, lettuce, guac, chopped onions. Whatever you want! I also like to throw in some homemade margaritas in mason jars, a bottle of wine, or a six pack of beer. It’s all good!
An easy and thoughtful way to make someone’s day!
